Corn Cake

I got this recipe from my cousin Ticiana. She is very good at baking cakes. It seems that she doesn’t even put much effort to it, but her cakes always turn out great. This one is very simple to make and it goes really well with a cup of tea.

Corn Cake


  • 3 eggs
  • 1 can of sweetcorn, drained
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 cups of caster sugar
  • 1 cup of cornmeal
  • 1 cup of plain flour
  • 2 tbsp of baking powder


Butter a round cake tin. Beat all the ingredients in a blender. Pour the mixture into the tin and bake in a preheated oven (medium temperature) for about 45 minutes or until the cake is baked.
